As with the tease last week, the Friday the 13th developers have included no additional information. The tweet includes no caption and the only visible difference is that the blue dot is in a completely different spot. Friday the 13th players may be no closer to find out what the dot formations mean, but there has been no shortage of speculation. Initially, some thought that the blue dot pointed towards a Jason skin from Friday the 13th 5: A New Beginning, in which a copycat killer named Roy Burns dons a mask similar to Jason’s, only with blue stripes instead of red....

On the game’s Steam forums, one Friday the 13th player argued that permanently banning players who had used exploits that have since been patched out is unfair and doesn’t work for multiplayer games like this. These types of permabans only work with more popular titles such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. A member of the game’s dev team, Ben Strauss, responded to the thread by saying, “We are actually going to unban those caught using exploits for this upcoming patch....

Andrew Torba, a conservative programmer who launched the site in 2016, said in a post on Monday that his service had enjoyed a wave of new users and that his team added 10 new servers to cope with demand resulting from the sudden influx.
