Friday the 13th: The Game’s Ultimate Slasher Collector’s Edition will release on September 4 for PS4 and Xbox One. This version of the game will come with all previously released DLC, meaning fans can have their pick from post-launch counselors, Jason skins, and more.
The free DLC is nice, but the main reason why fans would want to pick up the Ultimate Slasher Collector’s Edition is to get their hands on some exclusive physical items. This includes a limited edition video game poster, along with a replica of Jason’s hockey mask as it appears in the Friday the 13th: Part 3 film.
Even if this new version of the game manages to bring in a ton of new players, though, it still won’t result in any new content being developed. The developers have said that all work on future DLC has permanently ended, as it’s not practical for them to continue developing it when there is no guarantee it could ever actually release. However, they are still supporting the game through updates that will address lingering bugs and other issues.
Friday the 13th: The Game is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
