In Finkelstein’s reveal video, players hear an ominous knock at the door, while edgy guy Adam and rocker chick AJ enjoy each other’s company. Shelly then scares Adam and AJ before being approached by an unmasked Jason. Check out the announcement here:
Alongside the release of Finkelstein, Friday the 13th players get several other updates as well. Offline bots are another major addition in the upcoming update, and the max level increase is another welcome feature. Various holiday events will also be available beginning tomorrow through January 2. Smaller updates may be expected as well, and perhaps Shelly Finkelstein is not the only surprise.
The continued development of Friday the 13th: The Game since its release may be one of the game’s highlights, as is its connection to the films. Although previously confirmed that the game’s single-player content would pay homage to the films, the return of Shelly Finkelstein is clearly another nod toward the horror classic Friday the 13th Part 3.
With the planned updates for Friday the 13th expanding the quality of life for the game, it will be interesting to see where the game goes from here. Virtual Cabin 2.0 and single-player challenges are on the horizon, but once the latter releases, counselors will not be. Until then, Finkelstein and offline bots may pacify players until their eventual release.
Friday the 13th: The Game is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
